Using Your Download Page for Additional Profits
When it comes to wealth building, most marketers focus solely on two thing: developing products of their own and promoting other people’s products. But there’s more to it than that.
A true wealth builder’s mindset for success is all about not leaving money on the table at every twist and turn. You want to maximize your efforts. You can do this by leveling up in certain areas ñ such as creating exclusive bonuses for your promos or adding offers to your download pages.
The minute you begin planning your product launch, your mind is probably honed in on the funnel planning. What will your front end be? How many levels of upsells and downsells will you have?
But another part of your planning should be the post-sale process. That doesn’t just mean what products you’ll promote to your list of new buyers over time, but immediately after their purchase.
If you’re selling on a platform like JVZoo, then you have the opportunity to upload your product files for your customer to download ñ or, submit a download page that the buyer will see upon completion of the transaction.
A download page is where you place the links to the zip files of whatever the buyer purchases ñ the courses, the membership login details, etc. But there’s no end to the amount of cross promotions you can put on that page.
Directly below the links to the purchased files, you can put banners or more sales copy to additional offers. That might be to products that you created ñ more items in the line for what they just bought ñ or affiliate links to someone else’s products.
Many marketers get Joint Venture partners onboard with a perk allowing them to place a banner on their download page. This can be a mistake because they’re going to require an opt in and many freebies used for this purpose aren’t of good quality, so you’re missing out on further profits.
The only mistake you could make in developing download pages with cross promos is if you try promoting items that are completely irrelevant. For example, if you just sold a plugin for bloggers to improve their SEO, then you should cross promote other blogging tools and courses ñ not something like an anti aging course or a diet course that has nothing to do with blogging.
The buyer is telling you what they’re interested in when they hit that buy button and follow through with their purchase. You might as well see if they’re willing to devour more in the same niche!
