Sneaky Way to Find Top Performing JV Partners
Have you ever wished you could have affiliates and JV partners automatically looking for your next product release ñ so that they could sign up and promote it to their own list and help you earn money while profiting from it themselves?
There’s a simple way to do this, if you’re willing to do a little sleuthing. Of course the method won’t work unless you start with a good product. So before you implement this wealth building strategy, make sure you’ve gone above and beyond in creating a great product you (and your affiliates) will be proud of.
Begin by developing a no brainer JV page. That means you’ve informed your affiliates of the launch date and exact time (usually in EST), the prices and increases (if relevant), any one time offers in the funnel, and all specifics of the product itself.
Have a JV review copy ready before you take this approach, and don’t forget to create a set of swipe files from a variety of angles. For example, have a short swipe with a teaser and longer swipes with every detail of the product, so that you’re catering to all types of marketers.
Once you’re ready, go onto sites where your products are launches (such as JVZoo) and look under products that affiliates can promote. You’re looking for current launches or closed launches ñ either one works.
On those Affiliate Details pages, look for the products with contests available. There, you’ll be able to see leaderboard stats. These leaderboards reflect the heavy hitters for those products.
You want to seek product launches and affiliates that are similar to, or within your niche. That means they have a list of responsive buyers who are willing to take their recommendation and hit the buy button.
Create a list of the leaderboard marketers within your niche and then go through and contact each one individually. Do not send a mass email. You’ll need to convey specifics, such as why your product is one you feel their list will love.
You’ll do better if you sign up to their list and get a feel for it yourself. For example, if you know one marketer doesn’t promote paid advertising products, it would be a waste of your time and theirs to try to recruit them as a JV partner.
On the very first contact, in addition to showing you know their list’s needs, send them the link to the JV page where they can find details and swipe files, and also send a review copy at that time.
Do not wait for them to request a review copy. Many marketers are too busy for the back and forth small talk, and if a review copy is sent right away, they might be inclined to take a peek right when they open your email or FB message.
