Unboxing Affiliate Profits
Have you ever tried your hand at affiliate marketing, only to sit there frustrated because you canít think of what to say when you donít actually own the product? Thereís another way to dominate at affiliate marketing ñ and itís all about owning and unboxing items in your niche.
Now this doesnít mean you have to spend tens of thousands of dollars, either. And unboxing, although typically a tangible concept, can also be used to show what you get when you buy and download a digital product.
With digital items, you can promise an unboxing and implementation review for those buyers who purchase things through your link. So for instance, if you bought a PLR ‘biz in a box’ set, you could allow those customers (who result in you earning a commission) to watch you unzip the files and set them up in a full implementation effort.
But unboxing primarily speaks of tangible products ñ those you buy from Amazon, Walmart, and other stores with an online presence. The basis of unboxing is to let the viewer see you getting the shipment and opening it right on screen.
Theyíre seeing your first reaction to the product. These video reviews became popular when YouTube stars began getting shipments of fashion items, cosmetics, toys and other products.
Consumers ate it up. It was almost like they themselves were receiving the products. Whatís cool about becoming an unboxing affiliate is that manufacturers often begin sending you products without you having to pay for them.
So you can start off in a niche that has both high end and low cost products and start buying the low cost items first, to begin generating commissions. As the money starts flowing, take a percentage of the profits and funnel it back in to your business for larger purchases to review for an even bigger commission.
So for instance, take the survival niche. You could start out buying a $15 survival knife that you review on camera. Then you could get a cheap paracord for about $5, or set of matches that light even in wet conditions.
Your commissions bump up on Amazon through volume of sales, so you start earning more with these less expensive items. Then you move on to something slightly bigger, like a box of survival food for $50.
You unbox and taste test it on screen. Later, you move up to higher end survival gear like tents, generators, and even tornado shelters you can buy right online where youíll earn a nice commission from your reviews.
